What's the best way to lose fat on thighs and calves?!

Question: I know being 5'5" and 122 pounds doesn't sound like a huge fat person, but I think I have fatter thighs and calves than most people and it bugs me. How does one go about slimming down the legs? My whole upper body is really skinny and it looks disproportional.. I'm afraid to do leg workouts because that might just bulk up my leg muscle more and make my legs look bigger. Also, I don't want to starve or anything.

How do I lose this excess lower body weight and look more proportional?

I know exactly how you feel about your thighs & calves, I have the same problem. You currently have a BMI of 20, but you say you would like to lose some weight, i.e. on your lower body. To keep a healthy BMI, you could afford to get down to 115, thats a loss of 7lb or half a stone.
As for losing the weight, the best exercises are leg lifts and lunges.
For leg lifts, lie on your right side, bend the right knee and straighten the left leg out, slightly on top of the right leg. Lift 15 times, and change legs, doing the same only in reverse.
For lunges, hold 2 tins or 500ml water bottle in each hand, step forward with the right leg and bend then right knee, letting the left knee almost touch the floor. Do 15 times & change legs. I would recommend you do this twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening.

Firstly starving is never the answer a good, healthy and above all balanced diet is the only way to effectivly burn body fat.

Secondly you can't spot burn fat, leg exercises will not make you lose leg fat you either burn it from all over or not at all.

Thirdly Different people store fat in different places in your case its only on the legs but the performed exercises will not change if you have all your body fat up top.

Fourthly lifting weights will not make you bulk up most women do not have the hormones or the strength to lift the weights required to bulk.

You need a good general workout that involves as many muscles as possible to raise your metabolism and increase your fat burning potential.

Diet is also key; wholegrain, organic and natural products are the best way to go eat 5 small meals a day each containing all the macro-nutrients (Carbs, protein, fat) and drink plenty of water

End of the day its isnt rocket science you just need hard work and determination. A good start point may be www.truthaboutabs.com

ok here is the thing if ur talkin about ur hams. then do the leg curls, and for ur calves do calf raises....otherwise u have to run..
