What to do when your mom keeps calling you fat?!

Question: I am 13, 5' 5", and 120 pounds. My mother keeps calling me fat and I don't know what to do. I've considered purging but I don't want to go that far unless it comes to it.

Tell HER she needs to go on a diet, cuz it's genetic, from HER side of the family. =)

Look chick, if you're comfortable with yourself, don't change for anyone. You don't have to impress people, ok? People invented words like skinny, fat, chubby because they are always trying to label people with SOMETHING. If you're okay with it, then just make sure you eat healthy and keep away from too much sugar, junk food, and soda and exercise a little everyday. Otherwise, tell them to bug off.

No, you are at a good weight. I don't know what her problem is, maybe she feels insecure about herself. Even if you feel you have a little bit of flab, just workout and tone-up! I don't think you need to lose weight though. And purging is definitely the wrong way to go...If your mom doesn't stop, tell her, "Please stop calling me fat! It hurts!" Maybe that will get the message across.

That's not even an abnormal weight for your height. Tell your mom to start acting like a parent.

Wow, we are the exact same except im an inch taller. Anyways, if your not fat, i wouldnt listen to her. I mean, sometimes parents tell you that your a little 'big' and advise you to eat healthy and exercise, but in this case, if shes just plain out calling you fat then i think thats a little mean. According to your height, weight , and fat, you dont sound fat. I would just ignore her and go on with your life. As with the purging thing, dont ever try it. I mean, you may think your in control and can do it whenever you want but soon it becomes addicting. Dont worry about your weight, you sound fine (:

Tell your mom to jump off a cliff. You're just right. ;)
