What things can a 13 year old do in a gym to gain upper body strength without st!


Question: If you are 13 you reall shouldn't worry about a gym. Talk your parents into buying you a ser of Perfect Pushups. They increase the effectiveness of a push up dramatically. Also as far as just getting stronger you can do a lot by doing 20-50 pushups per night and 100-200 crunches.

If you are absolutely set on going to a gym you can use any gym equipment you please. Just avoid extremely heavy ammounts of weight. Stick below 100 on everything (obviously you wont be able to do 100 on everything but work for it) High reps and low weight is the way you wanna go.

Chin pull ups?

Working out doesn't really stunt growth, the only thing that would stunt growth is being really fat pretty much.

Save the money from going to a gym and do push-ups instead, preferably multiple sets of 10-20 push-ups each.

I don't think any form of excercise stunts your growth--it promotes it. Some weight-lifting would probably work.

Smoke cigarettes , Drink the cheep booze and go to the local billiard hall..

i was in your exact position, I go to the gym every now and then but don't do too much upper body exercises, because of the risk of stunting your growth, you should take "Growth Booster Plus" and work your legs out it will help alot, if your planning to get taller. I was 5'2 at the age of 13, and now I'm 14 and 5'8, it has been less than year, trust me it will work.Many people say that growth booster doesn't work, but that's because they are 30 years old and can't get any taller. It works really well if your under 21, and take it before you work out!
