Sure 500 calories is most definitely doable! As far as if it healthy? It depends on the health of the person. Only a Dr. can give you the answer on that question.

In regards to how many calories; depends on age, weight, your desired goals and a few other factors.

If you Dr. says your healthy enough for exercise, ANY is better than nothing!

it depends on how many calories you took in. Now if you ate 1000 calories, and burned halk of them then yeah thats good
