Question: ive played sports my entire life (cheerleading, gymnastics, soccer, karate) so i have very muscular legs. i have a defined hourglass shape but since my thighs and legs are so beefy i feel like it throws me out of proportion and its to the point where i wish i had never done those sports because i hate my lower half!! i go to the gym daily but i dont do weights on my legs cuz i dont want them to get bigger...i do cardio classes and all kinds of cardio and my lower half hasnt changed at all...whats the deal? i want my legs, thighs and bum to be smaller not bigger!!!

im doing weight watchers so im very careful what i eat so diet isnt an issue :(

hey, maybe you should try yoga or pilates along with the cardio so you make sure youre kind of evening out your body. but it is extremely likely that your lower half is like that becuase of genetics; look to see if there are similarities in your family. i've noticed it a lot in mine and others. and as for genetics, well, it takes a lot to work against them, so good luck!

So your basically asking how to get your legs smaller but not fatter? Haha i have the same problem. My legs are kind of biggish because i play soccer and do track and basketball and volleyball.... I do like pilates and leg lifts and stuff to work on my lower abs and do lots of running...How to make your leg muscules smaller... thats what i would like to know XD

You can only reduce if it's fat that you have there to lose.

If it's muscle, you've got very little chance of losing it short of losing muscle all over your body or getting some kind of wasting disease.

Well, you're already doing the best thing to do. Just try to work those muscles as less as you possibly can and eventually they'll go away.
Dieting is good because if your body is really in need of calories it will start eating away at the muscles.
