How come so many thin people post "Am I fat" questions?!

Question: Just curious. I see loads of people asking if they're fat and if they should lose weight, posting weights that are either totally within normal guidelines or underweight. Every day it's "I'm 5'3" and 100 pounds, should I lose weight?"

It can't be an honest question? I don't see how anyone could possibly be serious at these low weights. So is it insecurity? Is it for reassurance? To get attention? Is it eating disordered behavior? Is it to have 50 people reply and say "No, you're perfect!" Why bother?

I don't get it.

I don't get it.

They just want to keep hearing how skinny they are & gloat about it. It's totally stupid & annoying.

I hate when they do that. UGH

I don't get why anyone fat or thin is asking.

its probably for complements. but im sure a few of them do have an eating disorder.

low self esteem and they need verification from complete strangers. Its very sad.

because no matter how thin they are they are still not comfortable in their own skin. eating disorders are a self image problem that develops over time. people with eating disorders wont ask those questions because they are afriad of the answers. honestly people just need to get over themselves

if i wee you i would stop worring about my weight and go play hockey or soccer or somevsort of sport even though YOU ARE NOT you need to watch your weight talking about food! not that you will get fat but let me tell you bad acne will come if you don't eat right ! so stay fir eat some veggies and fruit and go play some sports much love!

I think some want to rub it in. My cousin is one of those girls who is extremely skinny and can eat whatever she wants and loves it and makes sure everyone knows it. Maybe that is what these people are trying to do.

Honestly its not their faults, the media today is such a strong influence and at such a young age now that kids have no other choice but to believe what they see most, t.v and magazines,

sad really

A lot are insecurity about they're weight. All these magazine show all these people that are skinny so a lot people think they have to look that way. You have learn to be comfortable with you body. I'm 5'0" and 153lbs and I'm consider overweight but I'm comfortable with my body and who I am.

their opinion!
