Can i give my daughter of 2 years age Honey everyday? I heard it has some live m!

Question: Honey is a known source of bacterial spores that produce Clostridium botulinum bacteria. These bacteria are typically harmless to older children and adults. But when ingested by an infant, these bacteria make a toxin that can cause infant botulism (infants younger than 12 months are at risk). It's unclear why this occurs in infants and not in older children or adults. Infant botulism affects a baby's nervous system and can result in death.
Botulism spores may also be found in undercooked food, corn syrup and even maple syrup. For this reason, feeding an infant any of these foods is risky as well.
If your daughter is 2, she is okay.

yes it's very good for her.

I know that you cannot give a baby honey because honey contains antibiotics and it would compromise thier immune systems. As for a 2 year old child I don't know. I don't think I would and be on the safe side.

Absolutely6 not every day. You are correct in that there are things in honey that when eaten every day they can have an bad effect.

People some times put out honey water for the humming birds and that is poison to them.

Why would you want to feed your child honey every day? Some nutter probably told you it is a great food for health. It is but not for young every day.

Peanut butter and honey once in a while is a very good supplement for any person if they are not allergic to either.

Honey is mostly sugar and I bet you would not think of giving the child the same in sugar every day.

Remember if it tastes sweet then it most likely is nearly all sugar.
