I am a 17 year old teenager and I need help creating a healthy meal plan for myself. I have IBS and its SERIOUS. My GI doctor told me to go on a low carb diet, and I need help. I get good exercise, and I dance at school. I do not eat red meat, but I eat chicken and fish. Could you please give me a few days worth of meal plans?

I hate eggs and get gas when I eat them.

Low carb meal plans that are healthy are preferable please.


Can I have like a full days menus for several days please.

I'm 16 and have IBS as well!
I get it bad only when I have a lot of wheats and grains, though.

I would suggest that for breakfast, you eat fruits mainly.
1 banana, and maybe a bowl of cereal.

Lunch, why don't you throw together a chicken salad, or cut up chicken cubes and throw then into a tupper ware container to eat at school.

Dinner, stick to what you know is best for you. More chicken perhaps?

the rotessiere chickens you buy at walmart are wonderful!!
buy bags of lettuce boil some eggs and throw on top w some ofthe chicken and makes a wonderful low carb meal,chicken salad,buy blocks of the hard cheese.those are wonderful also!!

try buying the South Beach Diet Cookbook - they have lots of recipes and I'm pretty sure they are low carb.

didn't your GI give you some information on it?
I would google to see if there is a support group for IBS

IBS is a stress related disease. I've had it over 20 yrs and healthy eating all around will help you but the stress of finding that 'perfect diet' will make it worse. What saved me years of agony came in a bottle from the healthfood store. It's called Stress Relief ($17.95). 5 drops under my tongue before I go to sleep and I sleep soundly and no more BM problems.
