LOL...I love when people answer without even reading the question like the poster above.

Anyway, a lot of it depends on your height and your body fat percentage. Weight is a starting guideline. In other words, regardless of your muscle mass and height, if your weight is within the recommended BMI range, you can get in. It doesn't mean you will be successful if you have no muscles what so ever...but still...

Anyway, if you fail the height/weight check, they take measurements which is calculated based on your age, height, weight, circumference of your neck, and circumference of the fattest part of your stomach.
If you are above 6' tall and remain in the 210 range and its not 210 of pure fat (in other words you have a little definition to you) then you can likely get in. However, you will be known as a "diet private" meaning that while in basic training you will be eating mostly rabbit food and little else...no milk, no deserts, small portions of meat, etc...you will also be worked much harder than your peers.

If you are under 18 now and plan to join in your 20's, I would recommend you start exercising and eating healthier now...

You can join at 18.

yah as long as your muscle ratio outweighs your fat ratio

it depents on!
If you are able to pass all the test to get access to the army, then you are ready for it.
But I can tell you it is hard!
and 210 pound.. well I dont know how i should look at it..
maybe you are muscled.

Go look at the maximum what you got..
for example:
- go run for a few hours and look how long u can hold it and start doing pushups and look how far u come

if u get tired by 1 hour running/30pushups
you are not ready for it.

Goodluck out there!

Well that depends on how tall you are, If your almost 6 feet then yes . But if your not, the question is Do You want to join the Army, overweight? No You Dont, i just got out after 6 years with two spent in Iraq, Trust me, you have to be in a pretty good physical condition to be in the military. Its only possible if you want it to be possible. Start Ex. at least 5 times a week, focus on runing, push ups, and sit ups.
