How many calories would I be eating if I wished to maintain my weight?!

Question: I am: female, 17 years, 5ft 6in.

I currently weigh 9st 7. Although I'm not fat, there are some parts of my body that really bother me, like my stomach and thighs, so I want to lose some weight. I am setting myself a goal of 8st 11.

For my diet I intend to calorie shift, by eating some days with low calorie intake, some days with high calorie intake, and overall, I want it to average out over a week as less than the recommended daily calorie intake. Calorie shifting should prevent my body from going into starvation mode (or so I've heard, and it makes sense!).

My problem is that I don't know what the recommended calorie intake is for me to maintain my weight? I need to know this to plan my calorie intake over the week sensibly (ie. not going too much over normal calorie intake on high calorie days).

I also want to include some exercises that will help tone the tummy and thigh area. Does anyone know of any good exercises I could do for this?

Thanks!
