Im tired of trying!?!


Question: i have been trying to lose weight for EVER!
im 13 years old
5'5 and weigh 135.
i want to get 10 pounds off.
i eat 1200- 1400 calories daily.
hardly any sweets, no white breads, sodas, etc
i dance 2-3 days a week for 2 hours
cardio 4 times a week.
whats up with this!!!

You sound fine to me. Sometimes when you reach a certain weight that your body is stable with, it becomes alot harder to lose, I am about the same as you and I find it very difficult. I too have alot of trouble I exercize for 1 hour everyday and I eat between 800-1000 cals a day and its still difficult. The only thing you can do is exercize more and eat less cals, its the only way, but being honest you dont sound over weight at all.

You seem to be doing well. Carry on dancing and eating healthily.

Your body is too young to be concerned with weightloss. Carry on the way you are going and it will DROP off when your body matures a little more.

You really are too young to be worrying about this, but it is awesome you are leading a healthy lifestyle. Just keep at it, please.

you're 13 - puberty is what's up with this. You'll grow out of this and if you keep up the good work, once you get past the stage where it thinks it has to get ready because you're physically capable of getting pregnant, you'll lose the weight in no time, I promise.

when I was between 12 and 18 years old my sister was constantly nagging me that I was fat (I was a healthy weight, only just on the edge towards overweight at BMI 25), now I'm skinnier than her without even trying. am now 23, started losing weight at 19 and have to be careful not to get underweight now.

You need to look into Yoga. It is know for its ability to increase your metabolism. This will help you lose weight.

i weigh 90 and i am 13 too. I dont dance or anything. I am 5'5 . exercise. do wall push ups. stand a couple feet from the wall and put your arms out and do push ups. They are easier. I do 50 at a time 2 times a day. Stop eating of bad. like ANY resturent is bad really. Soda is the number 1 cause of weight. my mom is a health nut so i know all this. Look in the mirror and if you are happy the way that you are than you can stop trying like you say you are gonna. But think how much more confident you would be if you changed for the better. I like the way i am ....i choose to change, i dont give up.
