well when you start exercising...your muscles grow....your fat disappears...

imagine 1 kilo of fat and one kilo of meat.....the piece fat looks bigger than the piece of meat..

...same with you....your body will look slimmer but you might weigh more in the beginning as muscles are heavier than fat....

I hope this makes sense...in any case don't worry its normal to put on some weight when you start exercising....don't stop...keep at it...lol

Muscle weight.

Or water weight. That can change your body weight by ten pounds or more during the day. Try watching your sodium intake; it retains water. that equals more water weight.

Your gaining muscle.

did you eat before you got on the scale??

yep that always happens. when you exercise your muscles get put in action and get heavier. you didn't really gain weight but its kinda like the same thing as weighing yourself at night- youre always heavier then. don't be too obsessive with the scale though.. weigh yourself no more than twice a week. and walking a mile won't make you drop pounds. just keep doing it and eating healthy & you'll be fine.

You didn't gain any weight in the 20 minutes it took you to walk a mile. Unless you stopped for a meal along the way. The problem is that your scale isn't precise. There are no home scales that are that precise.

well it could be ur cloths. wenever i weight myself i where jus my boxers. its more accurate than with cloths on. im not saying u put on cloths when u finished walking but idk.

The body weight fluctuates a little during the day, that it probably all you are seeing. It should not be a permanent gain.
