How many pounds do you need to lose? Weight loss is a slow process, but it's in May, so it sounds like you have plenty of time.

Try Fitday.com to help track your food, exercise and weight loss goals. Also see the tips below.

The best way to lose weight is to decrease the number of calories you eat and exercise. Replacing unhealthy foods with better choices will help you with this. It's okay if you cheat once in a while, but not a lot. Don't give up if you go off track. You can do it! The once a week suggestion by the other poster is also a good one.

Do some aerobic exercise like walking, riding a bike, or dancing every day. Vary your routine so you stick with it. This will keep you from getting bored. If you don't like exercising alone, find a group to do it with or try a team sport.

FOODS

Eat MORE: fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean protein, baked foods, homemade food

Examples of whole grains: whole wheat bread, oatmeal and brown rice.

Check ingredient listings because some items contain only small amounts of whole grain and mostly processed grains. (Unbleached flour is not the same as whole wheat flour. )

Lean proteins: Beans, legumes (such as lentils), tofu, certain types of fish, poultry is okay but veggie sources still have less, turkey is great because it has a lot of protein and very little fat

Eat LESS: processed grains, fried foods, processed foods, fattier proteins (homemade foods have less sodium, fat and preservatives and are better for you)

Processed grains include: white flour, enriched flour, unbleached flour, white flour, white rice

Processed foods include: microwavable meals, fast food, lunch meat

Proteins that are not as good: Beef, bacon, pork

You can still eat some fast food if you order a salad with chicken instead of a burger and fries.

Also eat less cheese or find low-fat versions of your favorite cheeses.

first of all you must cut fatty food, junk food, carbs and suger, then instead of getting three big meals y can get 6 or 5 small meal ,that's help y to improve yr metabolism and get rid of fat body.drink about 12 or 8 glass of water during the day but not through eat, more exercises like crunches, walking, runing every day, that's an important points to stat and go on,that's what i learn from the group of answer!good luck!

I am on Jenny Craig right now and am really finding its a good program. I get 1200 calories a day. Breakfast is usually a cup of cereal (like raisin bran with 1 cup of skim milk and 1 serving of fruit (an apple is one serving - so is 1 cup of juice.) Lunch is typically a salad with fat free dressing and either chicken salad, a chicken sandwich, or something similar to the Hot Pockets (they make them in a lowfat version. Dinner is usually steamed vegetables, a meat or pasta with some potatoes.

If you log onto weight watchers - they have a great program you can do online. It's similar to Jenny Craig with the same calorie count, but you prepare the food yourself. You can look at sample menus on Weight Watchers and use them, track your progress, etc.....it's a really good program too. They have weight watchers food in the grocery store too.

I chose Jenny Craig because I won't cook for myself so I like that the meals come packaged. I make my own salads and steamed veggies.

Good luck - I've already lost 3.3 pounds my first week - so if I can do it - you can too!!

Run a mile 3 times a week or if you want twice a week, after that week try to push yourself more and more,( Thats on your first week)
Eat healty all week, so if you go out on a saturday you can eat ice cream or something like that.( try a lot of veggies specially green 1s) eat 5 times a day, your breakfast, a mid snack like an apple or any other fruit, then your lunch, another mid snack, and then your last meal
You go to school right?
Have you thought of joinig any sport for this season?

I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of impurities. Impurities come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The impurities get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the impurities by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast. If you want to learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. This was the first time I ever did a cleanse, it was easy and I feel better. Good luck whatever you decide to do! http://thebestcleansingdiet.com

You can lose 28 lbs in 8 weeks if you follow Gillian Mc Keiths diet. www.gillianmckeith.com

You need protein drink powder ISOPURE from GNC in your smooties.

This website tells you how much protein you need in your diet. http://www.inch-aweigh.com/calc_protein....

If you dont have enough protein in your diet you wont feel like exercising at all and you wont lose weight.

I'm trying to lose weight too and it's sooo hard. My aunt is using a weight loss product and it's really working for her (100% natural). I'm gonna try it and I recommend you try it too. It's really a colon cleanse, and it's a healthy way to detox, not like most diet pills. Check their website at
http://easy-slim.us , my aunt got a free trial and paid only $4.95 shipping and handling.

Hi,

I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss (it's actually a colon cleanse) and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it (it's 100% natural). The results were excellent. I lost about 20 pounds in 2 months with this detox. That's why I recommend you check this product at
http://free-thin-diet.us where they have a free trial and you only pay $4.95 shipping and handling.
Good luck!

Since I started to work out I was looking for a good weight loss product (I only wanted something 100% natural). I was on a diet but I felt that I needed a little "help" so I decided to try this great detoxification colon cleanse and I had fantastic results. You can check their website at
http://healthy-and-thin.us , they give you a free trial and you only pay $4.95 shipping and handling.
