Trying to loose weight =)?!


Question: I'm trying to loose weight. I've already cut down on so much junk food and fried foods. I've started to eat whole wheat bread and fruits and vegtables. And I'm trying to loose some stomach fat (it's a little pouch but it's hiding my abs from showing) It's winter where I'm living and so you cant really go outside for a run or walk but if I skip in the house like everyday for 30 minutes at a fast pace will this be a good type of cardio and help me to loose my pouch? Any advice or suggestions on other indoor workouts would be much appreciated =)

Drinking a lot of water will help u lose weight as it helps in the breaking down of fat cells. Be careful about how much bread u eat; carbs will make u gain weight it u have too much. I'd probably say no more than 3 thick slices of wholemeal bread per day. I think skipping will definitely help ur cardio, also Pilates will definitely help (it's very good to get a flat stomach), u can get pretty cheap beginners DVD's, I have some at home, it really works out every area of ur body!
With situps, my sister's gym teacher said that if u want to work out ur abs, u don't sit up all the way, you start to do a normal sit up, but u stop after ur about ten cm off the ground and lie back down. If u do situps the 'normal' way it actually works out ur legs more then ur abs.

When we want to get rid of body fat, there is no way to specifically burn fat from one part of the body. Doing situps won't burn the fat that is covering your abs and doing tricep extensions won't get rid of the fat that is covering your triceps. The only thing you can do is lose weight all around and eventually the problem area will also improve. The way to burn fat is through a calorie restricted diet in conjunction with an exercise routine that will burn calories. Activities that burn calories include running, biking, swimming and other high intensity activities.

depending on what type of housing you live in, you could buy some excercize machines such as a tredmill. this could be your substitute for running. buy an excercize ball and do curl ups on it, its great for the abs. and good for you for cutting back on the unhealthy foods and adding healthy ones instead. that is a really healthy way to lose weight :]

I am trying to lose my stomach too. I think proper sit ups. I have a large exercise ball and have not used it recently, but when you do sit ups with that, it's great. I need to lose some weight and stomach now, so I plan to use my exercise ball and I also plan to join our Y. Good luck.

Cutting junk food is a good start!!

If you're trying to tone your stomach, try sit ups and crunches!!
Tighes/calves - Squats, jumping jacks
Arms - Push ups.

All these excersices are good for doing at home because you dont have to move around!
