I think they get a bad reputation because of their definition, but most people who judge them have never actually been to one.

If you google "pro ana", most of the websites that come up that define themselves as pro ana are not actually promoting eating disorders. They are aware of their unhealthy and destructive habits but are unable to stop.

They are a halfway house and are actually very supportive. Of course there are some bad sites out there but that doesn't mean that pro ana sites as a whole should be judged.

what?.

Anorexia is a fatal illness. There is one thing therefore whether you belong to a website where people are trying to help each other get well or a website that by name and approach is PRO ANA...that is, promotes anorexia. There is nothing sexy or sweet about showing your bones, shutting out all non anorexics, being so rigid or controlling.
BTDT and thank God I don't any more.
You can get well. Try Somethingfishy.com or edreferrals.com or tpoftampa.com or foodaddictsanonymous.org or milestonesinrecovery.com or eatingdisordersanonymous.org or thewilloughatnaples.com or shadesofhope.com or brookhavenhospital.com OR ALL of the above and you will find other women who have been there and found a way out without having to break.

yeah anorexia was the best thing that happened to me. Now I look like this http://www.chinadaily.net/lifestyle/2006...

Rock on anorexia saved my life. I love puking up every little thing I eat, if I eat at all.
