Cardio mode on a eliciptal cross trainer Life Fitness 95XI?!
Question: I normally workout on random mode but have tried the cardio mode where you enter age, weight, time, and heart rate. When I do this it works well until I get about 16 minutes into the workout and then the machine increase the resistance to max and I can not make it move fast enough so it goes into pause mode.
I have now tried this on three different machines and they all do the same.
Any idea on what I am doing wrong

Cardio mode increases the resistance to try to get your heart rate within a target zone at a set speed (normally 130 strides per min or so) If you are in good shape and petite, the resistance may have to go up to much to get your heart going. There is usually a button that lets you manually change the resistance level back down. Also, if you put in a much higher age, the target zone will be lower so it should stop adding the resistance sooner.
Hey there
Have you tried downloading the manuals from their website?

I couldn't see the exact model number that you mention - could it be the X9i cross trainer? If I knew the exact model, I would have downloaded the manual and tried to work it out.
I also had some minor difficulties with my gym's cross trainers, but I downloaded their manuals (they were another brand) and sorted it all out. Sometimes even the gym staff themselves do not know how to operate these fully, aside from the basic functions.
Good luck.
