Wahhhh. Why wont anyone answaaa meee? Will this diet plan work???!

Question: Ok. I'm 14 years old , 5'7 and about 142 pounds. My goal is to lose about 10 pounds in 3 months. I want to lose 2 pounds of fat on my stomach and about 8 pounds of fat on my butt and thighs.
So that's about 10 pounds of fat. Anyways, this is my plan:

I will eat less than 2,000 calories each day. Probably 1,800 or less. I will not starve my self.

And then I will run at least 3 miles everyday except for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. But at Friday and Saturday i play EXTREME, pick-up basketball games with college (black) people for about 2-3 hours.

And at Sunday, I just rest my muscles and nerves.

But everyday I do a little bit of weight training. I do about 5 minutes of weight training. I have seen results on my muscles. They've definetly grown bigger. But I have not seen results on my stomach, butt, and thighs. Why?? I eat healthy(well, at least I try to). And I can't see results except for my muscles. I run at least 3 miles from Monday to thursday.

Kyran, learn a variety of exercises you can do with dumbbells, and concentrate on full body exercises that will ramp up your metabolic rate - clean and press, snatch, dumbbell squats, alternating rows, core rows, russian twists, and corkscrews. Do these as a circuit, 15 reps of each, with one exercise following immediately on completion of the other. Repeat the circuit three times. When you run, do interval training. Warm up, then run hard for 60 seconds, then trot slowly for 60 seconds; repeat this pattern about 7-10 times. Eat frequent small meals of nutritious food, drink adequate water, and be patient. Trust in the process, it works! Best wishes.

yes u can only if u cut out fatty foods ex. twinkies

it probably will work. as for running 3miles each day, thats ALOT OF RUNNING. alot more then you think. for track at school i run 1mile and a half, and its alot of running. one mile is actually a really long time for a person to run. i would start of will a mile, and maybe bring it up to 2 miles, MAYBE at the most!!

i think that the eating plan will work. If you want to eat a little under 2000cals a day, dont do it all in junk food, do it in healthy food. also, dont eat alot of bread, its not good for the degestive system and it will slow down the matebolism (only temporarly though, for as long as you eat the bread)

Yes, it sounds like a good plan, healthy food + exercise = a good plan. Results take time, so if it's only been a few days or something and you don't see results, that's obviously why. The reason you have seen results on your muscles but not your stomach, is that you have not been doing exercises that target that area.

yes

well, 10 pounds in 3 months is a good goal. i'm proud of you for deciding not to starve yourself. you seem to have a really good thing going, and i think you should keep it up, but unfortunately, you can't lose fat from just one part of your body, it will end up coming from all over your body, although because you're checking your stomach & thighs, you'll notice it most there. a little more weight training wouldn't hurt if you wanted to do more, but never work on the same muscles/muscle group two days in a row. otherwise, keep it up & congrats! oh yeah, you could try nutritiondata.com for a good calorie needs calculator if you want it.
