How do I tell somebody I am bulimic?!

Question: I am falling into bulimia, I know I am. Over the past couple of weeks since my boyfriend left me, I cant stop telling myself that I am fat and telling myself not to eat, I'm constantly battling in my head. I keep giving in and eating, then I get realy angry at myself and throw up, I dont realy have to force myself now. I almost automatically vomit when I want to. I keep freaking out and exersising till I realy hurt too. I want to tell somebody. but I cant, the only person I feel I could tell is my ex boyfriend. will he think im attention seeking? All I want is help.. but I dont want to feel fat anymore.

I'm really proud of you for wanting to get help, that's a start!

You should defiantly tell someone, and if you feel your close enough to your ex boyfriend, go for it!

Make sure you set aside a time, in private, where you can show him how serious you are. Also, before you tell him, put yourself in his exact position so you can understand his reaction. Go over the conversation in your head and be prepared for his questions and reactions. Be kind and gentle about it, and make sure you let him know that you want help.

Good luck & God Bless!

you just told us, so now just tell someone you know, like your parents or a friend

Tell your mom...sit down with her and make her promise not to get mad. Make sure she is calm. First admit that you have a problem and then tell her that it is bulimia. Tell her that you need help. Dont tell your ex because it will prob get around and soon everyone will know. And you will see like you are attention seeking. But, if he is the ONLY person you can tell, tell him because its better than no one. And by the way, dont let a stupid boy make you feel fat

You might want to be careful if you do tell him because, not to sound mean, but yes, he may think you are just trying to get attention because lord knows how many girls cry for it. If you are always thinking about eating, atleast eat something healthy- and when you think of yourself as being fat, tell yourself something good and positive, even if you dont belieive 100% at first, make yourself believe it. Small changes can make you feel better, like dressing up for no reason or doing something helpful for people.

also, you will just have to realize that an artist is thier own worst critic. You will see yourself under a telescope, while other people dont even notice the thing you are stressing over.

go to your doctor and tell him everything you have told us online and be absolutely honest and that you want to seek help for this . Honey I hope for the best and I am praying for you.
