It all comes down to calories IN (diet) vs. calories OUT (exercise).

Diet: You are what you eat. Be careful about your diet. Many people get a lot of calories through what they drink. I would advise drinking only water. Cut out desserts and empty calories. No eating after supper. Fill up on fresh fruits and veggies as much as possible, because they're filled with the nutrients your body craves. You'll feel full and won't have a nagging desire to eat more.

Exercise: You burn carbs for about the first 15-20 minutes you do anything, then you start burning fat. You don't have to be a marathon runner, but try to be consistent in exercising for a long period of time to burn as much fat as possible. Even walking helps. Working our in the morning will get your metabolism going for the rest of the day. Lifting weights is good too - muscle burns calories, so the more muscle your body has, the more calories it burns doing anything at all.

I've heard that it takes 21 days to form a new habit. Work on making these behaviors habitual, and watch the pounds melt off!

unfortunatley the best way to lose weight on any part of your body is to get your heart rate pumping. focusing on your stomach like with crunches is less effective. if you get your heart rate up by doing cardio and then do crunches they will strengthen muscles but not get rid of your gut.
try finding something that isnt exercise to you - mow the lawn, walk your dog, have sex, baby sit a toddler - there are so many things if a treadmill bores you.

do what I did, but you wont like it,.... cut out all carbs,and sugars. no rice no bread,no pasta,no potatoes, eat alot of baked fish or chicken, turkey,eat lots of eggs, no red meat, stay away from corn, it is a starch,, get yourself some slim fast and drink one 30 min before you eat, this will make you feel fuller and you will eat less,be sure you eat 3-4 small meals a day I lost 25 lbs in 2 months doing this, I went from 150 to 125 and I an 5'6 also here is a reciepe that I used when I just had to have someting sweet, its sounds a little weird but they are soooooo good (trust Me)
Chocolate muffins
use one devils food cake mix
one small can of pumpkin
2/3 cup of water
1/4 a bag of mini semi sweet choc chips
spray muffin pans with non stick spray
fill muffin tins full
sprinkle a few mini choc chips on top of each muffin
bake at 360*F for 30-35 minutes
these muffins are 50 calories each and almost no fat
I got this reciepe from my cousin, she was on weight watchers, and these muffins count as only 1 point they are awesome
P.S you can not taste the pumpkin
they are sooo moist and yummy
