Recommend a good protein bar?!


Question: i'm looking for something that isn't covered with chocolate, and not incredibly chewy/hard to manage, that still tastes good, is filling and loaded with protein (to a certain extent, of course).

I go to wal-mart and buy 2 different kinds. The one I buy is called "Detour". It's different from most bars because it has WHEY protein, not soy. (better for muscle building) Has around 15 grams per bar. The other one I buy is Snickers Marathon Protein, it has 28 grams per bar.

If you completely hate chocolate though, I would refer you to the zone perfect bars, the strawberry yogurt is delicious, very easy to chew, and about 14g of protein.

Online they're expensive.
At Wal-Mart:
Detour bars are 6 for $5.
Snickers 6 for $7.
And Zone perfect are 5 for $6.

Lowest prices I've been able to find.

PAY DAY Protein Bar (NO chocolate)

the best protein bar for your body and the best tasting is a met-rx protein bar. they have 2 grams of sugar and 32 grams of protein. all the met-rx bars taste pretty good. dont get this confused with the met-rx colossal which is more of a meal bar and has a lot of calories. just get the regular met-rx protein bar!

I love this protein bar, I know it's covered in chocolate but it has low sugar. It does have sugar alcohol, however, this won't spike your insulin and make you store fat like regular sugar. This isn't chewy and is the best tasting protein bar I've ever had. The only thing bad is the 9 grams of saturated fat. I think you should at least try this.
