Is it alright/healthy to do various stomach crunches 7 days a week?!

Question: I do at least 8 different stomach crunches each 1 set of ten twice a day(Sundays I do once a day).

Is that ok?

When I do that, I feel extremely hungry in the afternoon. Why is that? I do have a healthy balanced diet. I've been doing this since Wednesday or Thursday. I also feel my stomach tucked in or shrinking naturally.

Well, since your stomach isn't used everyday as much as your legs and arms are, it's not as bad to exercise everyday instead of every other day. Your muscles don't really get a chance to repair themselves (they need 48 hours to completely repair after a workout) so it can cause injury. But, like I said, an injured stomach is much better than an injured leg. So it's up to you, but you can get the same results by just doing 3 sets of 15 reps every other day and not risk injury.

You really shouldn't work the same muscle group every day because a muscle needs rest to rebuild itself. When you workout a muscle you are breaking it down so that it can be rebuilt stronger. If you do not rest this will never happen. If you are looking to get a six pack or a flatter stomach you need to focus on diet and cardio. Here http://beginner-fitness-tips.blogspot.co... is a good article about ab exercises, cardio, and diet for getting a six pack.

What you are doing is awesome!

Exercise speeds metabolism; that may be why you get hungry. Eat a reasonable lunch or snack if you feel hungry. Not eating is counterproductive. The body feels starved and metabolism slows.

I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking to build muscle. Don't forget what crunches(and any other kind of muscle building) are actually doing: they're tearing muscles and rebuilding them over and over again. By doing crunches every day you aren't giving your body time to rebuild those muscles. I would recommend taking at least 1-2 days of rest, and even then to remember to be getting enough protein so your body has what it needs to rebuild your stomach muscles.
