Diet Idea........ Will it work?!

Question: For two weeks I will be eating no carbs ( breads, pasta, starches, sugars ect.) Along with exercise 5 days a week.
After the 2 weeks, I will be eating a strict calorie diet and only healthy carbs, ( wheat bread, low sugar, lite foods ect) Along with exercise 5 days a week.
basically, combining the South Beach Diet with a Calorie watcher diet and alternating
2 weeks SBdiet
1 week Calorie
2 SBdiet
1 Calorie.......and so on

Do you think it would work? Please I need to know if this would help me continue to lose weight.

yeah it will work!!!...but you will have to gradually ween your self into each diet...if you got to fast from one diet to the other it will shock your system! and you might not see any results....so i would do 2 weeks of each moving slowley into each diet!!!

it sounds good but by stopping the carbs for 2 weeks your body will hold onto them longer when you eat carbs. so maybe you could try to eat carbs only healthy ones like every four days or something.
i find when i stop eating carbs, i lose weight but as soon as i take one bite of bread i put it back on, but i balance it out now - i eat either a sandwhich or pasta or something carb based once every two days and ive lost and kept it off - which is pretty cool :)

In my case, I eat wheat bread, wheat pasta, veggies, fish, chicken and red meat once a week, maybe.

I keep my caloric intake to about 1500 - 1700 calories a day, and go to the gym 1hr a day 4 times a week, and my weight loss rate is about 10 - 15 lbs a month, which i don't think is bad.

The bad thing about specific diets, in my opinion, is that more often than non, you get bored eating basically the same foods, and you stop.

I think the best thing is the calorie cutting method, you'll be able to eat more things that you like and are healthy, and still loose weight both ways. Via diet and exercise.

Honestly I think you would be better off just staying on a low calorie diet the whole time, and adjusting what KINDS of carbs you take in. Eat healthy carbs the entire time and you will lose weight more effectively and more permanently.

Stopping any certain food your body uses can make it cling to the bits it gets. The exercise plan is good and will make a big difference. Switching to a healthy carb diet plus exercise would make a big impact in anyone's life and body. If you can go for adding some exercise and healthy carbs, then you will also have just cut your calorie intake but cutting out bad carbs. Going from white to wheat, avoiding sodas and high sugar foods will make a big difference.

My best suggestion to you is rather than combine these diets by going back and forth, combine them at a constant rate. Exercise, eat good, healthy carbs and a diet rich in lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables, and you will have great success I am sure.

I wouldn't completely cut carbs out of your diet. Carbs should provide around half of your energy, and if you completely stop eating them, your body will probably go into starvation mode. Then your body will be more inclined to store as much energy as possible as fat. Basically, it's unhealthy to diet like that. Just cut down your intake of unhealthy carbs and you should be alright, and eat a balanced diet.

Maybe you should try cutting your carbs for 6 days and then overeat carbs for 1 - the reason being is that this way you'll trick your body into thinking it's not a famine and your metabolism will keep speeding up.
Otherwise, you'll gain weight as soon as you start eating carbs again.
