Is it ok to mix sugar with herbal tea?!


Question: I bought tea from Traditional Medicinals called Weightless Cranberry and it is DISGUSTING!! Can I mix sugar with it, or will the sugar diminish the effectiveness of the tea?

I do it, but it isn't healthy. Tea, in general, hasn't any nutrients in it to begin with unless the makers purposely put it in there. The main ingredient in most herbal teas is hibiscus. Nothing nutritional there. Adding sugar does nothing but give it sweetness. You can, as a substitute, add honey. Honey is sweet and will sweeten your tea. Myself, on the other hand, could care less and will add all the sugar and lemon juice as needed!

shouldnt do any harm!

it wont diminish the effectiveness, but sugar is no good... limit how much you put in if any
