You might be building muscle witch means you have lost weight but you have built muscle witch weighs more then fat

Do cardio, like jogging. Fast walking burns barely any calories, sorry.

It sounds like you have the right idea as far as your diet program. I had the same problem for a awhile. I switched to eating pure protein meals and excercising. After that I started to loose the weight. Just remember that when you walk and do sit ups you are also building muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat so look at yourself. Are you toning up or noticing more definition in some areas. Hope this helps

I can tell you I had a simular issue. I tried everything and nothing worked. I worked out for 3 hours a day, doing cardio, weights, and strength training. I drank nothing but water. I don't nore have I ever eaten candy or drank soda, I just don't have a sweet tooth. I tried everything. Then one day I was watching t.v. and on came Micheal Therman the six week body make over. I thought the price was too high, but once I listened to what he had to say and how the program worked, I figured what the hell. What he said is, people have trouble loosing weight because everyone keeps trying the same things, everyone's body is different and therefore respond to food and exercise differently. So I ordered the program and in it comes a blue print that you make of how you want you body to look and one of how it looks now. You then do a survey of questions about your past and present eating habits, exercise etc. and from there you find out what body type you have and what food and workouts work best for you. Mine said that red meat and diary make me bluk up ( which I was thick rather than fat) and then I realized how much red meat I really ate, almost everyday. It told me to get my protein from chicken, fish, and egg whites etc. so long story short ( or still ever sooo long lol) I figured what the hell, I have tried everything else, what could I have to loose. Well I cut out dairy and red meat and I lost 20 pounds right away and I kept it off until a year later I started eating red meat again, I gained it right back! I stoped eating red meat and the weight fell back off, I couldn't believe it. I didn't even following the diet because I didn't like alot of the foods it called for, and it makes you eat more and I have a small appetite, but I still lost weight. So now if I want a burger I make a turkey burger and I feel better about myself and have more energy.

It may be as simple as your caloric intake. That may not be enough calories for your body to do what it needs to just survive every day if you did nothing for 24 hours, but rest.

Also, I see that you mentioned that you dont eat breakfast because of the time you wake up. I would still start with eggs and whole grain bread and fruit. Here is a sample meal plan that you can adjust accoring to your caloric needs. It will help speed up your metabolism.

From breakfast eat about every 2.5 to 3
hours. Drink water also. Dont wait until you are thirsty.

Meal 1: Eat a smart breakfast with 2 eggs and whole grain
bread and 1 serving fruit.
Meal 2: Apple and 2 tablespoons peanut butter
Meal 3: Chicken or fish w/ half a baked potato and green
vegetables (brocolli, green beans,etc)
Meal 4: Eat a granola bar or some yogurt or trail mix
Meal 5: Chicken or fish w/ lots of green vegetables

Meal 6 is an option before you go to bed. 2 slices of deli cut
turkey or chicken w/ some celery or 5 to 10 wheat
thins (whole grain).

With the working out, add this to your workout over the mile and a half you walk. Every other block if walking outside, do 25 jumping jacks. Next time you stop, do 10 push ups. Next time you stop, do 20 "body weight" squats. Next time you stop, do 1 minute of curb step ups.

By continuously changing what it is you are doing, your body does not have a chance to adapt to your routine. By now, your body is used to your routune so you need to step it up a notch. That basic workout should accelerate your body fat loss, which ultimately is your goal.

When doing your sit ups, dont do 150. It is counter-productive to what you want to do. I suggest you research a few ab/core exercises that target: the upper abs, the lower abs and your side stabilizers or obliques.

my daughter was also having an apple for lunch. the dietician said she is not getting enoughnutrition. she gave her a power-packed diet, so she had more energy to exercise! here is what my dietician recommends - follow a practical diet. have a snack every three hours. fruit or soy nuts. Make sure your plate has this ratio - 50% veg, 25% carb, 25% protein. Pick an exercise regime you like. But lose only 1 kilo a week. That is the permanent way of losing. Dieticians offer eally good suggestions that r easy to follow. go to one

6 weeks - 3pounds doesnt sound bad for the initial months

Well it sounds like youre building up muscle.
Muscle weighs more than fat so you might have built up a lot of muscle from the exercising which replaces the weight from the fat.
So basically, your weight is from muscles, not fat.
The workout and dieting seems okay.
Give it time. Its good that youre doing this. Sometimes your body needs weeks before getting adjusted to this.
One week you could just suddenly drop a whole lot. Just keep doing what youre doing. You will eventually get the results you want.
