Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig?!

Question: I've heard Jenny Craig is very expensive.
I'm not quite sure how Weight Watchers works, or if the cost is reasonable.

Has anyone tried either or both of them, and can offer some advice?

done both. Jenny Craig is WAAAAAY expensive and is a crock. I didn't lose hardly anything. You not only have to buy their expensive food you also have to buy extra food at the grocery store It's ridiculous. Weight watchers is really simple. There's a low cost pay as you go rate. That's it. They teach you how to pick your own food and evaluate what you eat. It teaches a lifestyle choice that you can maintain throughout life. Frankly, sign up for 12 weeks--you'll have all the materials and information you need to go it on your own without them. It does work, by the way. I'm a big fan.

weight watchers has a "point system." you can eat whatever you want, but you have to write it down and calculate points. weight watchers is cheaper (you dont have to buy special food and you dont have to pay for meetings, you can get the point system off the web and do it on your own if you want)

Go to the supermarket and buy what food is healthy - there's your diet. Oh and exercise a few times a week.
Why spend money on crash diets when you can sort your own diet out for yourself? It's a whole lot cheaper.

weight watchers is way better. u can eat what ever u want to it doesnt have to be expensive but its mostly counting calories and it will help u eat alot healthier i highly recommend it

Jenny Craig!

Because, they give you the exact food to eat. Less slip ups happen this way. Plus, people on weight watchers tend to really eat "whatever they want" so long as the points don't go over the alloted amount each day. BUT, if you eat mcdonald's, that's still horrible for your health! Weight watchers needs to point out the dangers of eating whatever you want instead of embracing that lifestyle. You also won't get over bad food cravings as easily by doing weight watchers since they still allow you to eat whatever you want. The more you cut certain foods out, the less you crave them.

But honestly, I would say just don't pay for either. There is plenty of advice and healthy recipes online these days and it's completely free. Try SparkPeople.com for great great support and diet ideas!!!

I have never tried Jenny but I am currently on weight watchers and loving it. There points program is awsome and it is real easy to stay on the program.
