Answers: I haven't start it cuz I'm confuse..eventho I need it soo bad

I don't blame you for being confused. There's a lot of nonsense out there when it comes to the fitness industry. There are several reasons for that, but that's not what you asking.

Brandi's right: the doctor probably should be your first stop, especially if it's a long time since you last exercised. No, it's not a condescending thing to suggest. Just a preventive measure, really - to make sure your body's up to everything. It can't hurt, anyway.

And maybe the doc has some suggestions of his/her own for your particular wants & needs. Since fitness has its complexities, tell Dr. X what you want to do (lose weight, get stronger, run faster & longer,...); they should be able to give you some tips at least. If you choose to hire a trainer or consultant, you now have two informed opinions to listen to. That's a mild form of doing research, and you want to be as informed as possible about what you do.

I hope this helps. Good training to you!

make sure you have the money to afford it. then go.

If you go into a fitness club they will help you out. A personal trainer can check your body fat percentage and according to weight, body type and goal, they can set up a workout with you as well as a healthy eating plan.

Good Luck!

Telephone or send the club an email and ask if you could have a day pass (could be free, may have to pay) or a tour around the facilities. This will give you a good indication as to whether you want to join the club.

save money

I'd call and see if I could get a tour of the gym/fitness club first. Not sure where you live, as I know people in the UK sometimes refer to it as a fitness club, where as a lot of people in the U.S. call it a gym, but if you are in the U.S. you have a lot of options.

It's a good idea to get rates on memberships, talk to a trainer, and get a tour around the gym. Make a list of things that you want to make sure they have, such as a swimming pool if you like to swim laps, or enough ellipticals so during hours you're still guaranteed one, etc.

Any gym/fitness club wants your membership, regardless of how out of shape you are, and so they will be extremely helpful. Explain to them you really don't understand how the memberships work, etc, and they will explain everything. I promise! Best of luck!

Most places will say consult with your doctor first. Most fitness clubs I've went to give a free consultation with a trainer on your first visit or so. I'd say really talk to him/her. Let them know what you're trying to accomplish and let them measure/weigh you and come up with diet and exercise routines that are best for you. Everyone is different and needs their own routines. That's definately the first thing to do. The next thing is to get some great workout clothes and start hydrating yourself extra. Good Luck!
