Are there any decent tasting foods that can sustain your appetite?!

Question: I know theres cereals and other not so nice foods that can sustain your appetite.
But are there any good tasting foods?
Then again i'm quite a fussy eater, so just if anyone knows any foods that can sustain just let me knoww! : D
Thanks!

Complex carbs found in porridge oats whole grain rice and pasta. cook up a lovely tomatoes sauce with fresh basil and olive oil maybe some garlic and grated Parmesan. The amount of wonderful herbs and flavourings that are out their would tempt even the most fussy.

drink alot of water it fills you up quick!!

celery is so low in fat that you lose weight just by eating it. Eventhough the amount you lose is small its still quite a good idea if you can think of nice things to go with it like low fat cheese for example

a sandwich

Taste is relative I personally like cereal. And what many people call healthy food that is good for you seem to be bland unless you pallet is accustomed more to the natural flavours in food instead of the addictive high sugar & fat of the modern diet.

I assume that you really mean foods that will suppress your appetite or make you feel full, not sustain your appetite (that would mean you would still feel hungry). Also, appetite and hunger are not necessarily the same thing.

Foods that are very flavorful or very spicy tend to make you think you are satisfied.
I don't remember the science behind it -it may be simply that you drink more water with spicy foods although I seem to recall there being another explanation.

But food with a full "mouth feel" will make you feel more satisfied - layer levels of taste, smell, feel together. If you cannot smell the food (or it doesn't smell appealing) you will not feel satisfied (think about when you have a cold). People tell me that soup is satisfying for them, but if it's not a thick hearty soup, I don't feel satisfied because I think it's just water. Same with yogurt. But put some granola in my yogurt or a slice of bread with my soup and I'm a happy camper.

Frozen banana. No joke.
