Needing serious protein?!

Question: My body is seriously craving protein right now. I have an hour for lunch and don't know what to get. Ideas? I was thinking a bean burrito, but not knowing what else is in those beans could up the fat intake too drastically. Chicken/turkey sandwich from Subway?

High protein is found in chicken, fish, turkey and mostly meat. I would suggest a sub. Beans are high in protein but also high in fat. If you have a grocery store near you invest in Special k's protein to go. Its a 30 calorie drink mix with 5 grams of protein.

Fast food decent protein. You're speaking my language! I live off such foods during the week.

Carl's Jr's chicken sandwiches are decent. The broiled ones obviously, not the fried. They have salads too so you can have a full meal instead of just the sandwich.

Almost anything from El Pollo Loco is better than it's fried-chicken partners when it comes to fast food. Their burritos are pretty good, but avoid the flour tortilla. Get a corn one if you can.

Any sandwich shop (Subway, Togos, Quiznos) will have a healthy option for you.

KFC has some broiled items on their menu now. You might want to give them a shot (but clearly stay away from their fried stuff, tasty as it is).

Finally, any grocery store in your area with a service deli should have some sandwich choices with fresh ingredients. Check there.

Those are a few options. Enjoy your meal!

Make a scrambled egg from two whole eggs and two without the yolk. Add some cheese and you have your protein filling.
