I lost 70 pounds between February 06 and December 07. I went from 205 to 135. The entire time that I was loosing weight I kept feeling the same way. People would tell me that I looked as though I was loosing weight, but I couldn't tell myself. My clothes size kept going down too, but I didn't really notice that my waist was. I think what actually is going on here is the fact that you see yourself all day every day. Because of this, you always look the same to yourself, because each day that you wake up you seemingly look the same as you did the last day. Haha. Well, other people that may not have seen you for even a week or two will be able to notice that 5 to 10 lbs that you lost over the last two weeks, just because they haven't seen you in that time frame. Therefore, I really doubt they are saying it just to make you feel better. You probably really are loosing weight. Also, on a friendly tip on how to lose weight, make sure you are counting your calories. I lost that 70lbs in 10 months by reducing my calorie count from around 3500/day (the unhealthy amount I was eating before my diet which led to my obese weight in the first place) down to 1200/day. I did not exercise a single time over my weight loss period. Once I reached my desired weight, I slowly worked my way back up to 2500 calories where I now stay. Counting calories is now second nature for me. I also don't crave fast food anymore. I only eat it around once a month instead of twice a day. Some people would disagree with my 1200 calorie/day routine and call it anorexic and unhealthy, but I felt great the whole time I was doing it. Since start to and finish of loosing my weight, I've never felt healthier! Good luck on loosing yours!!!

well can you tell a difference in your clothes? I think a lot of times people really are telling the truth its just hard for us to see it ourselves.. I went from 215 down to 115 after my kids and I still find it hard to believe I lost that much weight.. get on scale, keep track of your inches, and see if ur clothes fit loose..thats the only way your gonna know for sure.

It is up to you to decide wether they are lying to you or not. If you are a good person, I don't think that anyone would lie to you!

why not hop on the scale and find out
