Hi, after exercising you should have something small with both protein and carbs such as breakfast cereal or peanut butter on a crisp bread..
Be aware that while you may have extra protein needs when building muscle..most western people have too much protein daily and so this converts to fat..so, you need some but not too much..there is such a thing!
Complex carbs such as oatmeal and wholemeal bread made with unbleached unrefined flour, brown rice (i love short grain), quinoa is good for protein and complex carbs,
Personally my advice is to steer clear of dairy and from reading skinny ***** I can see why I thought this..
Walnuts are great for you, unsalted though :-)
Oh! and soup like progresso lentil is low fat and low calorie and packed with protein and it fills you up!
Bananas have about 100 calories each..Boca burgers have about 90 calories..
I drink water with lemon in it all day long...sometimes with Cayenne pepper a la the master cleanse diet without the maple syrup...the lemon is good for flushing the toxins...
Good luck...

Granola or Power bars.

Bannanas replace potassium...dates are also rich in potassium .

a whey shake would be ideal. some low-med gi carb like an apple or oatmeal. you want to replace the glycogen lost during exercise without spiking insulin if your doing cardio. any type of meat will do fine as well as non-fat yogart and milk.

try snacking on crunchy, fresh, raw vegetables like broccoli & carrots. If you prefer ranch dip, try fat free lite salad dressing.

I don't know what kind of exercise schedule you use but if you train with weights its best to take some form of protein.

You can use a whey protein supplement, this quickly enters the bloodstream so your body has the building blocks to restore from your workout.

Fruit or P B J
