Hi! Im vegan and healthy so hopefully I can help :)
The person above me mentioned fish. Fish is not vegetarian. It is an animal. I would just like to clarify that. If you ARE pescetarian, than yes fish is a lean meat and therefore healthier than other ones.
Breakfast. Have a nice and big breakfast ! You can have wholemeal toast with peanut butter. Oatmeal or porrige with fruit bits, like apple. A few fruit, bannanas (excellent for potassium and giving you an energy boost), apples, kiwi fruit, oranges...anything really! and water obviously. yes, and some fruit juice.
also one thing thats nice is getting some silken tofu, patting it dry with a kitchen cloth thingy, putting it on a warm frying pan with some olive oil, breaking it. Fry it for a bit, then add some stuff. I like to add onions, mushrooms and fresh flat leaf parsley. its like scrambled eggs...but nicer :)
you could also scramble eggs. but tofu is very high in protein and calcium.

lunch, have a sandwich! peanut and grated carrot. tofu with mango chutney, rocket salad on wholemeal bread...there are loads of recipes out there! veggie burgers, veggie sausages etc.
You can get some soy mince and tomatoe sauce and boil some pasta and you have a nice pasta thingy.
soups..are great for the evening.

snacks..nuts and seeds. all sorts are great for vitamins and protein levels :)! so don't forget them.
granola bars are great too!
fresh fruit for snacks are a good idea too. a bannana when youre tired.
don't forget to eat plenty of beans. azuki beans..are high in vitamins. beans, nuts, seeds etc are very healthy and keep you full.
try eliminating too much sugar and too much salt etc.
there are plenty of lovely vegetarian recipes online. you should check them out. just type vegetarian recipes into google and you're guarnteed to find something good!

good luck with eating healthy!!

homemade granola baby
its rock solid

if you choose, eat fish or egg whites. they have complete protiens in them.
lots of fruit, wash it up and leave it lying in random places in the house, then youll be muching on it

hummus avocado and alphalpha sprout sandwiches are a healthy choice.

homemade soups are great as well
email me if you want the granola recipe

hmmm if your a vegitarian u need to get some protein due to your lack of meat

peanut butter, peanuts, tofu etc.

Being a vegetarian you dont eat all that fatty meat wich is good :)
Im proud of you for that.

Try cutting down on oily foods and sweet things, and eat within the recommended 2000calories a day + 2 liters of water :)

Also 10,000 steps should be taken a day + 30 mins excersise.

Just eat in moderation, and do excerise to tone up maybe..

Good luck :)

xx

By cutting meat out of our diet, I'd say you're already on your way to being healthier, as most places prepare is horribly with loads of fat and salt. Ew.

Lots of raw foods in salads and stuff. Stop drinking soda. Absoloutely no condiments. Snack on small 100-calorie packs during the day, but limit it to one or two, and portion out your meals correctly. (Your eyes will almost always be bigger than your stomach.)

Of course, no greasy or fried foods. If you do happen to slip up and eat a couple pieces of pizza, ration out your food accordingly during the day. Also, avoid frozen foods that you heat in the microwave or oven LIKE THE PLAGUE.

It doesn't take much to get healthy. Just take the things you normally eat and cut out all the unhealthy stuff. Stick to the above plan for a couple months, and you'll lose 5-10 pounds. (Exercising also helps. A lot. I recommend it.) Also, although you can supplement the nutrition that is lost by not eating meat by eating vegetarian foods, do try to take vitamins.
