Treadmill, which is just another form of cardio (any exercise that get's your heart rate up, sustains it and causes you to become aerobic is a form of "cardio" -- so running, elliptical trainer, stair stepper, inline skating, etc., are all considered cardio.)

The treadmill is probably most effective because you can manipulate the settings on it to train at different intensities. By increasing the incline or speed, you can increase the intensity of your workout and burn more calories. If you use the treadmill to sprint, you may actually be able to build some leg muscle while burning fat.

That said, none of these exercises will "tone" you. "Toning" for most people means adding additional lean tissue (muscle) as well as bringing down your body fat to levels that allow the muscle definition to show through. If you have a lot of muscle, but also a lot of fat, you won't look "toned" because the muscle is buried underneath blubber (think of a defensive lineman in football.)

Toning really requires weight/resistance training. So if your goal is to get nice, sleek, "toned" muscle, you would need to add in some weight training as well -- either free weights or machines.

If you combine weight training with cardio, you'll get the best of both worlds, Kendra. You'll burn fat and add additional lean muscle. Plus, it will improve your strength and coordination and stave off osteoporosis later in life (women who weight train have less bone density loss.)

Best of luck!

By the looks of your pic, you dont need weight loss.

running by far with a bit of crunches.
you are serious about your health arent you keep it up im the same nothing like feeling good is there lol

Weights on your largest muscle groups have the biggest impact. Building muscle destroys fat. You want to make sure to work your largest muscle groups like your legs and chest, so that your body has to work on building those muscles instead of fat.

For a good workout program (and diet as well) you should check out "The Abs Diet for Women"

Cardio=Treadmill=Running gud for fat burning at the correct heart rate about 120%-140% of ur normal heart rate for fat burning and 150%-170% for tonning if u dont understand email me

running definately

2 things.

1. based on your picture, you look fine.

2. running helps you lower your body fat percentage a lot, well from my experience. don't run at a constant pace. for maximum results, run fast, then slow. alternate like that.

to tone yourself, hit the gym, don't focus on weighs though, focux on your reps. that helps tone, and not increase muscle size, cause girls look good toned, not with huge muscles. lol

good luck

Oh good god... There is some ok and somke terrible advice here so far...

Here is the science...

The best proven way of burning fat is a combination of Strength Training and Cardio Training.

You should aim at 30 - 60mins of cardio (which includes running) 4 - 6 Times per week and 2 - 3 days per week of strength training.

The cardio burns calories faster and more effectively than anything (I won't bore you with why) but that being said the more lean muscle mass that you have the more calories that you burn, so you need to get strong too... Don't listen to people that say to do high reps on low weight for toning, this is utter bull it has been proven that women and men benefit more from a rep range of 10 - 15 for begginners, the heavier you lift the stronger you get and the stronger you get the more lean muscle you put on and the more toned you will look and the more fat you will burn, you will not look like a female Arnie, it is not genetically possible without artificial help.

But here's the cathch to get strong you need to be flexible so Yoga would be great too!

Really out of all the things lited the least useful thing listed is crunches as this doesn't really do anything to reduce body fat aside from strengthening your hip flexors and outer abdominal muscles, to actually make you waist slimmer you need to work your deep tummy muscles which also helds to support your spine and reduce the risk of back injuries.

Anyway, if you want a good program join a gym and ask a professional Personal Trainer for a program rather than following the advice of Yahoo Answers, Always train smart not just hard, if you don't know why you're doing something then find out why, if there is no reason then don't waste your time with it and do something more produtive.

1 & 4 because it works up the entire body and not just one center location.

sit ups and push ups

Ya u alreadly sexi gurl

7) A mix of 1-5 will do you good. Oh add Aerobics and Pole Dancing as well

I'd say running
