Pull Up's/Chin Up's PLEASE ANSWER FREE 10 Points!?!


Question: Okay I've read in a few books and on the internet, people who can do pull ups are not overweight; and in shape. I've heard this, they say its a good way to prove fitness, because if your overweight it's supposably impossible to do a pull up no matter how strong your arm's are. Is this true? if you can please add a little detail...

no that is not absolutely true. i know many overweight wrestling buddies that have no prob doing a chin up. but if u can do 10-20 true chin ups then u are sitting pretty well. but as to it being impossible, its possible

you can still be overweight and do pull ups

lol, you can be overwieght and do a pull up. and i am a girl and can do some....so that fact was wrong.

yea I weigh 205 and bench 315, I can about 20 pullups
my bro is almost 300 benches around 470, he most definately cant do any

if you can do chin/pull ups it just proves that you have upper body strength and iv'e seen big guys do them
