Answers: i dont want to get muscle big arms...just tone and be less flabby...<3..x

To tone, not build, use lighter weights and perform more repetitions. Your muscles get "bulky" when you lift very heavy weights, so you should start with a weight that allows you to complete 12-16 reps. (A good starting point for most people is 3-8 lbs., but you should choose the weight that allows *you* to complete only 12-16 reps.)

curls and tricep pulls try arund 50lbs at first

whenever you wanna tone your body the best thing to can do is up the reps and lower the weights. So if normally you would lift like 25pounds each arm for 3 sets of 10...try lifting 15 pounds for 3 sets of 20 or so. i find doing this does the trick nicely for toning

I am not a pro but I beleive to tone up you do lower weight and do more reps. for big muscles you use heavier weights and fewer reps.

umm hard to say for girls usually 1-3 kg's while doing some cardio for guys a quarter of ur building weight

Lifting weights is not exactly what you want to be doing then. You need to work out "smarter" not harder. There are special exercises designed to "tone" with out adding bulk. Especially that hard to work under arm area (triceps). Consult an exercises website, book or trainer to find out what exercises will fit your plan the best.

My weight trainning teacher said if you are just working out you should work out with a quarter of your weight if you are trying to do you max weight you should lift how much you weigh.

If you strain them with weights they will grow larger. If you use no weights but move them alot they will tone up.

You won't get big muscle arms unless you train for big muscle arms. Such training includes more work that you think (including strict dieting).

You want to be less flabby, which means you want to cut fat. Hop on the treadmill m'boy, you're doing cardio from here on out until you lose that layer of fat.
