Is there someone that can help me stop smoking, tried every thing on the market?!

Question: i quit smoking about 2 years ago. I am SO happy i did and proud of it. I smoked for 15 years (started v. young) and i tried to quit many times. the way i finally quit and it stuck was i paid attention to when i smoked- yes sometimes it was just because i was addicted and wanted one--but most of the time something made me nervous or i felt jealous of something or excited about something, or i was around somebody i was attracted to--i was always smoking when my emotions felt intense. I decided i had to feel my emotions without smoking- -whatever i felt i just had to feel it. it was actually very hard and scary but because i was so direct with musef about what my challenge was i was actually able to do it. it took about 4 months of having a couple a week still to actually just never having any. good luck. t's very hard. but very worth it. also i took up yoga, that helped me stay off them.

thanks

if you pay me 100 quid i will tie you to a chair and lock you away for 3 months, by the time you get out you wont be thinking about cigs anymore.

Well you could go to doctors or people who are paid to help people like you who wants to quit smoking.

Also, yourself and those around, like family and friends, need to help you as the receptors in your brain will be dying for a cigarette, so you need to the willpower and strength to overcome that feeling and urge.

So good luck..

this might help.. I'm a respiratory therapist.
Smoking leads to COPD - look it up. My patients with COPD end up getting congestive heart failure, usually on and off life support machines for years until they finally die of respiratory failure. Severe COPD is when you do little activity and can't breathe. Years of suffering, like slow death is the smoking curse.
Smoking also leads to lung cancers. Once diagnosed, it usually takes about 2 years or less before dying. I've had conversations with lung cancer patients who are alive and moving, then hours later.. dead. I'm not exagurating, it's what gonna happen to you in a few years. That's your future.

yes there is !!!! & you know who.....!!! it's you ,you & a you...
Build up your willpower & try to stop it completely... only you can help yourself as you youself have put yourself into this mess.......

try .... be bold you candefinetly do it....

I began smoking at the age of 15 and finally quit for good at the age of 57 (a year ago), when I was at a pack a day. Even tho' all the experts say you have to go cold turkey, I think that just increases the craving. This is how I did it. Everytime I wanted a cigarette, I only smoked half of it. So, I immediately cut my intake in half. After a few weeks of doing that (gives your body time to adjust to less nicotine), I would only take about 4 puffs, put it out and save it for the next craving. After a few weeks of that, I went to 2 puffs, then one puff (where one cigarette could last me a day or two). My body gradually got used to doing without the nicotine and I got to a point where I said, "when this pack is done, I'm not buying anymore". That was a year ago. Recently, I stayed with my son, who smokes, and took a drag off his cigarette. I didn't like the taste and it hurt my throat. If I can do it, you can do it, because I loved smoking!!!
