What's the best diet for a 16 year old?!


Question: I don't really want to go on a diet, and I don't really need to. I'm just trying to shed a few pounds before prom, and I need an easy, healthy way to do it.
I'm also trying to tone up a bit, so what are some good ways to do that?

by definition the word diet is the regular food and drink of an organism. those that say you don't need a diet don't even know the meaning of the word. keeping a healthy, regular manner of eating (diet) is how one achieves health and is able to manage weight and keep body fat under control. everyone should be consuming a diet based on whole foods. whole foods are provided by mother nature and have not been manipulated by man. foods like eggs, fish/seafood, poultry, lean beef and pork, complex carbs like beans, oatmeal, whole grain rice, lentils, fruits & veggies and assorted nuts & seeds for healthy fats. the less processed foods in your diet the healthier you will be and the leaner (more tone) you will be. processed foods are loaded with various chemicals that have nothing but adverse effects on the metabolism and human endocrine system in general.

You don't really need to diet, you should just ADJUST your diet a bit. Eat healthier and watch your proportion sizes. As for toning up, yoga is really good for you ( : It's just a lot of stretches, if you're not into the whole meditating thing. It's not really all that extreme, and there's this one yoga that's for weight loss if you want it.
