Use a lower step and work in some weight training into your program. Weight training builds the muscles that support your joints so that they become more stable and less likely to be injured by activities such as step aerobics. Twice a week should do it.
It probably won't hurt anything but try Yoga or Pilates instead.
its not terribly bad but try taking glucosomine for your joints it helps!!
That's not a good thing....step aerobics are REALLY hard on your joints - especially your knees, ankles and hips.
I had to stop doing it because I was always so stiff the next day. I felt like an arthritic and I'm less than 30 years old!
If you just really love that type of exercise, slack off a bit and only do it a couple times per week.
