Help me please want to lose weight....?!


Question: i want to lose 40 pounds. im 5'9, 157 lbs.
i eat right im just not active
if i started exercising (like walking/jogging outside) will i lose weight?
also, if i burned 3500 calories a day, would i lose 1 pound a day?

Healthy weight loss is like 1-2 lbs a week. Eat 5-6 smaller meals during the day instead of 3 big meals. Yeah, start running or doing some other sport. If you do a sport you actually enjoy, it'll be easier for you to exercise. It wouldn't be healthy to lose 1lb a day. 117lbs seems a lil too low for you. If you look good, you look good, don't worry about reaching an exact number. You don't want to lose your curves!!

if u lose 40 pounds u will be 117..thats way 2 thin!

first off....you would lose alot more than 1lb a day if you eat right and burned 3500 calories a day. thats more than you really should even eat in one day. and yes if you burned that much, you would lose weight at an incredible, but unhealthy pace. i would reccomend just taking it at about 1k calories a day.

I think burning 3500 calories every day is impossible, but no you wouldnt loose a pound a day because you would also hav to burn off all the calories from your food. So i sugest eating very healthy and burning that many calories and then burn off an additional 100 calories you will loose about a pound a week.

Number 1 it is INSANE to try to burn 3500 calories a day!! I run for 40 minutes at 6 miles an hour and I only burn 400 or so calories.

Exercise and losing weight is all about numbers. At the end of the day how many calories has your body burned?

Let's say you eat 1000 calories a day but you burn 200 with exercise (cardio...strength training is different). Your body is only using 800 of the 1000 calories that you put in it, therefore it must burn and use it's stored energy (fat).

You will lose the weight if you are active without a doubt. Just drink water and stay with it.
