I'm Too Small For My Skin!?!

Question: I've been working out using a rowing machine recently and I've noticed that I've lost some fat from my upper arms and gained a lot of muscle, but now I have these loose bits of skin that hang down and they're really stretchy!! My ex boyfriend told me the only way I can get rid of them is through plastic surgery but I think he was just saying that because he doesn't want me to look good for other guys...
Help, I don't fit in my skin anymore! :(

You will be fine. There are a huge amount of products that tighten and firm skin. try not to lose more than 3 pounds a week and your skin with catch up to your body. Your skin is one of the smartest organs you have! It's so smart because it lives on the outside. It stretches and retracts! Just don't outsmart it and lose too much weight to fast! Usually 3 pounds a week is fine. Oh i guess I should share the best exercise and diet program in the world with you! It will not cause you to have loose skin it is bty far the best exercise and weight loss program ever created and it is only 50 bucks! I will include a link! It is fun and easy and really works! http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness...

As you grow older your skins elasticity isn't as fast as when you were growing. It might take a while for it to "shrink" back, but a faster alternative would be the plastic surgery.

But thats only if you lost a massive amount of weight, if not, dont stress, it will go back to normal.

The human integumentary system (skin) is not a passive layer of tissue that remains stretched out like an empty plastic bag after losing large amounts of bodyweight. Rather, it is a living organ, actively adapting to the body's internal and external environments. People on extended fasts consuming nothing more than water have demonstrated that the skin can lose 20% or more of its size.

The skin is usually thickest on the soles of the feet, and thinnest on the eyelids. As a typical example of your skin's thickness, pinch the skin on the back of your hand. If it were true, as this woman claims, that the folds of skin hanging off her body had absolutely no fat left underneath to diet away, every inch of this skin would hang in sheets as thin as folds of paper. However, common observation of the folds of skin in such examples reveals this is not always the case.

Measuring the thickness of these hanging folds of skin provides evidence that there is still a substantial amount of body fat underneath the skin. The skin is not so much "loose" as it is flabby due to excess body fat. Even if some areas have completely thinned out, there will still likely be excess body fat stored in adjacent areas that contribute to the overall flabby condition.

He's pretty much right.

The only way you can get rid of that skin is by getting it cut off. And it will leave a significant scar.

Don't worry about it, we've all got it.

stretch marks go away and the loose skin from weight loss will go away eventually too. Look up some toning exercises and topical scar/stretch mark ointment.

Don't worry about it.
I am assuming you are young, your skin will tighten up, it just takes a while. It may not get to where you'd like, but it will improve if you stick with exercise. As someone above mentioned, there is likely still fatty deposits in that skin.
Stretch marks won't go away without surgery, but they will look better with time. Everyone gets them, even guys. My body is a roadmap of them, I'm 23 and never had a baby.
I recently lost 45lbs and still plan to lose another 10. I am about 75lbs lighter than I was at my heaviest point. If it were true that you could only get rid of excess skin through surgery, I would be all hanging flaps of skin, which I am not.
Just take care of your skin and body, use a good moisturizer, eat healthy and keep up with the exercise.
Congrats on losing weight, and good luck finding a good guy.
