Too little food! Don't forget that your metabolism only keeps burning when your body has something to digest.

The biggest problem people have with diets is the inability to stick to things that taste so bland. A meal replacement protein shake is good after a workout, but what about some low-fat yogurt with granola and fresh strawberries and blueberries? If you have a cup of yogurt and a moderate amount of the rest, the entire meal can be 300 calories.

Make sure to take the skin off any chicken you eat: you might also try substituting other parts of the chicken (except the wing) and make a stew: heat chopped onion until soft, and garlic for 55 seconds, throw in chicken and brown on all side. Take chicken out, add a jar of healthy marinara sauce (look for one with a low amount of sodium) and some water until it's enough to cover the chicken. When it starts boiling, add the chicken. Twenty minutes later, add a little potato chopped sort of small. Five minutes later add three or four carrots chopped. Fourteen minutes later add a cup of peas, let them cook for one minute, and take the entire thing off heat. Make sure to cook uncovered so the sauce can reduce and thicken. Serve with some brown rice.

Suddenly chicken for lunch doesn't sound too bad, huh?

The tuna looks great but consider eating it with a slice of wheat toast and COLD extra virgin olive oil. Don't be too anal about almonds, just grab a handful. Also look into snacks like beef jerky (kind of high in sodium but just about no fat and packed with protein), LOW calorie nut and fruit bars, fruit smoothies (without added sugar), and of course, FRUIT. Low calorie count, no fat, delicious, sugary, and it isn't processed.

Remember the real definition of a diet: it's the way you eat. It's isn't something temporary, or else your results will be temporary. When you make a diet too much work, it's becomes a pain to follow. Have fun with your food.

As for the workout, I'm not sure what the point of so much protein is if you aren't building or toning muscle! The cardio looks great, though maybe a little too much. Just see if you can do it and still have energy for a more thorough muscular workout; if not, cut back on the cardio. 2-3 miles would be a little better.

When I say a muscular workout, you don't have to get ripped: some light weight lifting will keep you toned, and don't forget, muscle burns fat. The more muscle mass you have, the more fat you burn when you do everything else.

EDIT:
Oh, and be weary of carbs: while some are good for energy, when your body begins its workout carbs are the first thing it goes for to burn for energy. What happens when the carbs aren't there? It starts to burn FAT. So get some WHEAT bread and brown rice, but take it easy, and no white bread!

Where are your fresh fruits and veggies? Need a grain in there as well. Also, if you want a six pack you're gonna have to do some abominal exercises to strengthen and tone your abs.

sounds good to me, but then again, i'm a girl. what about sit ups? are they an important part of a workout?

where are your carbohydrates? You're doing great on protein but you need carbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whole Wheat breads and pastas, fruit and veggies

I think you're very healthy. You don't need to change your diet.

it sounds like your eating just protein and studies have shown that once you get the required amount the rest is waste...you need to include more fruits and veggies and some dairy
also i think the running is great, but i would add more to the push ups like planks for core strength and sit ups, etc
carbs are important you need whole grains for fiber
i think you should read up on healthy eating there are lots of great resoures out their-get a book from your library or search the web

you shud exersize every day like run around the niehborhood or in the building(i mean up and down the stairs)eat veggies and dont eat at night

you need carbs and fruits and veggies. carbs give you energy, and since you want to run a lot, you'll need energy.

and you need a better diet. meal replacement shakes arent that great for you. you need a balanced diet of lean proteins, whole grains and veggies/fruits for almost all meals.
and what about dairy???

try http://www.sparkpeople.com
its 100% free, and will tell you how many calories/grams of fat/grams of proteins/ carbs you should be getting a day, as well as how many calories you should burn a week to reach your goal. it will also give you lots of great strength training ideas to work your core. totally worth it.

Why not replace the protein shakes with an eggwhite omelette - cook up some veggies - mushrooms, pepper, onion, spinach - whatever you like then add three egg whites and grill / microwave it (don't fry) and serve with salad. That way you get your protein plus nutrition from vegetables AND its probably less calories.

Also you do need to be having some carbs in there. How about porridge made with water for breakfast? Its super low in fat and will fill you up.

I'd be surprised if you manage to keep this diet up for very long, its quite low in calories and the run will drain a lot of your energy. You might be best eating a little more now so that you're not suddenly hit with binge urges and screw the whole diet up!
