My vitamin are making me nauseous. Will it eventually stop happening?!

Question: I started taking one a day women vitamins a few weeks ago and i find i feel mildly nauseous almost all day after taking one. I take them as directed and have tried taking them with and without food but nothing works. Will this stop happening when my body gets used to taking them? I don't know if i can handle feeling like crap much longer.

Try taking them at night. This happens to me whenever I take pre-natal vitamins when I'm pregnant. If I take them anytime except for bedtime, I fell like crud all day.

make sure you take them with food. and drink lots of water

Maybe you should stop taking them? Never take anything that makes you feel sick. That's a sign your body doesn't want it.

Or you could try eating before you take the pills. If you swallow tablets without eating, they tend to stick to your stomach lining until they dissolve, which will tend to make you kinda sick.

if you're taking them with plenty of food and water and it's still affecting you, i'd stop taking them. maybe consult your doctor to see if there's any mild allergies you could have or something.

They probably contain zinc, and you have to eat with them. I have to avoid zinc altogether it makes me vomit no matter what I do, eat or not. Drink lots of water with them and eat a snack with some fat in it so you can absorb all of the vitamins.

I asked my doctor to swithch me to some perscription vitamins. That helped me. I was taking the over the counter pre natal vitamins and they made me sick.

they made me really sick too. I would break of sweat and have the runs..it was yuk. I stopped after two days. No I am on prenatals b/c I have to be and they hurt my tumm to. I started taking them at night b4 bed and I have not had any problems...that I know of. I plan on trying to get back on one a day women's after my baby is born. I think it takes some adjusting..it is a change for your body. Maybe ask a doctor.

i do the same thing. there are certain vitamins that i will throw up 30 minutes after i take them and there are some that i can take for a few days without throwing up. my advice would be if you feel like you need to take vitamins, experience with a few different ones. always take them with food. then take them for a few days, and then stop taking them for a couple of days. cycle the use of them. this has helped me. hope it helps you.

Some people can't handle solid vitamins. Besides, they may not be absorbed well. Stir them in water and see how well they dissolve.

I take Disney chewable vitamins. They have pretty much the same vitamins, but they taste better and do not hurt my stomach. And chewing them helps them break up more easily. I take the Disney Winnie the Pooh brand because they have sugar instead of aspartamine, which I think may help them get absorbed more easily.

Always take a vitamin with food. Consider a chewable vitamin. It is less like dumping a rock into your stomach. There are also some good liquid vitamins.

Make sure you eat your fruits and vegetables. These have vitamins as well as nutrients that are not available in vitamins. The nutrient balance helps the individual nutrients to get absorbed better than if the nutrient was taken alone.

I find this out at whfoods.com. It tells you how many calories and vitamins are in foods, as well as special nutrients.

dont take them then just eat more fruit and veg and drink plenty of water most vitamin pills dont work anyway
