6-8 glasses a day but if your an athlete, take about a gallon a day. if thats too much to handle, then try taking a sip of water every 15 minutes and you'll be fine and hydrated all day.

Nutritionists suggest 3 qts. of water every day to remain fully hydrated and to maintain kidney function and health.

Everyone has their own opinion....It's really hard to drink to much water....

it is a myth that u need to drink 8 pints of water a day - u need to INGEST 8 pints of water a day on average - but what many people dont understand is that u get about a third of this through food. just drink as much as u are comfortable with - a large glass with each meal is fine - headaches are a sign that u are not drinking enough.

they say 8 glasses but remember that you can obtain this from other drinks then water! like fruit juice and milk^^

I believe that it is one oz. for every kilogram of weight. I am like 55-60 kg or 108 pounds...so I need more like 7 , 8oz glasses. It is different for everyone. I personally think..the more the better right!
One great way to get more water in, is to substitute anything else you would drink...juice or pop, with water...cuts calories and is much better for you.

According to doctors you should have 8 glasses of water as water purifies your whole system of your body e.g. blood,kidney, liver, etc.

people who exercise alot and sweat alot, or people who live ib dryer places obviously need more water daily, than people who live in places that are more humid who just sit around all day! They say eight glasses but I highly doubt any one REALLY drink that much everyday.

you should drink 8 glasses a day it flushes the kidneys and toxins out of your body, if you can drink more do so
if you are finding it hard being on a diet drink a glss just before a meal it will fill you up
also a slice of lemon is very refreshing in it
and no for those who say you can drink milk ect in its place it does not work the same as water, milk is good but only for calcium

Eight Eight oz glasses a day is recommended but i would drink as much as possible. It could help you lower your calorie intake. But you'll have to pee alot more. :)

Listen to your body- if you're thirsty- drink! Al lthese guidelines assume that all of us have the same needs which is so untrue- if your wee is dark and smelly you're not drinking enough- if your skin is dry and itchy you're not drinking enough-
