Question: i am overweight, but people tell me to go running instead of setups or crunches to lose my belly fat. so what do setups or crunches do if not help decrease belly fat?!

Sit-Ups and crunches work your upper abdominals. They aren't a sufficient way to lose fat. For loosing fat it's better to do cardio.
try eating less
got to take in less to lose wt
My opinion is to eat less junk food and start eating more healthy food, and at the same time you should do sit ups or running or bike riding to decrease the huge belly.
But to do this you need support and motivation by your friends and family, without this you wont get very far and start to lose concentration.
