Does Protein Powder Expire?!
Question: I have some 100% Whey protein that is over a year past its expiration date and I wanted to know if it's a big deal or not... It still smells fine, but it's way past its expiration date... Is it still as affective even though it's expired? Is it unsafe to use now that it's expired?

Over time all organic compounds break down. Proteins take longer then other macro-nutrients. That being said... the company who decided on the expiration date took this into account.
New protein powder is actually more biologically available then old. Older it is the less value it has. It will not go bad it will lose potency.
