How long until i see biceps?!


Question: recently, i've been working out with 8 lb dumbbells every day.. i do about 50 reps a day .. how long until i start seeing results on my arms .. like visible biceps :)

I'm not sure on time span exactly. I've had good biceps since I was like 12. I grew up on a farm, so everything I did was pushing myself. I can tell you this much. You will not see much in mass with what you are doing. What you are doing is more of a"tone" set of reps. If you want to see muscle you need to decrease the reps and increase the weight. You gotta push yourself to "see" results. You need to work about 3 sets of 15 reps and if you can barely get the last set done you know you have enough weight to really work your muscles. Whatever weight in the dumbbells it takes to accomplish that is what you'll need. Take amino acids as well. They will improve the time it takes to see results naturally and effectively. Hope this helps. Once you get your biceps where you want them, you can use a similar routine to what you are doing now to maintain them.

try working out with heavier weight. i know your a girl but they say women should work out with weights heavy enough where you do a few reps of 10, and your struggling with the last one.

As a young lady ( I read your 15 =) ) you dont really want to see to much result in your bicep area. All you want to do it to tone it. dont go for big muscles. 8 lbs sounds great and it sound like your doing a good amount of reps also. Keep it up and you will start to see a more tone arm. Not bigger but toned. If you want to make your muscle bigger (I dont recommend it for girls) but if you do you need to up your weight and lower your reps.

high reps low weight = Cutting/toning

Low reps heavy weight = Building
