If I'm sore after a workout, is it better to rest the next day or work throu!

Question: I've been taking a class at the Y and am really sore the next day. I usually try to workout daily. Is it better to rest since my muscles are sore, or workout anyway? My goal is weight loss. Thanks!

ride the bike or treadmill. you can work out some of the kinks your feeling, burn some calories and most importantly you'll mentally like the fact that your motivated.staying spiritually mentally and physically, will take you a long way. good luck.

if you have to work out, work out a different muscle group

You can do cardio but avoid anything else. Every other day is great, your muscles can rest and rebuild.

if you want to lose weight, i would say work out daily. if you just wanna gain some muscles, then work out with a one day gap in the middle. i had the same problem when i first started working out. i got really sore and all. but just work through it for like first couple of weeks. your body will get used to it.
hope it helps!

An aerobic trainer told me we should rest after we get sour muscles coz your body wasn't use to working out

Good luck with your excersize :)

Rest! You'll get more benefit from your workouts if you take sufficient rest between them!

The soreness is normal as you are working muscles that you usually don't work. That also means that the muscles are oxidating (process of combining oxygen with some other substance or a chemical change in which and atom loses electrons). To combat the soreness I take some antioxidants like vitamin C and vitamin E, or an antioxidant complex before and after I work out. This will help reduce some some of the soreness.

If the soreness gets to be severe, that's your body's way of telling you that you need to rest. Good luck and be safe!

hard work is good but the work which we do more than our capacity that make harmful to our health and without good health we are unable to work and gain progress so while working there is necessary to take rest after rest our body get re-fresh and next day we do our work with great power and vigour to achieve success.

No, you should allow sometime for your muscles to heal. If you don't, you aren't allowing your muscles to recover. I would wait a day, maybe 2 if your muscles are sore. Think of it as if you are sick, though you aren't, your body, like your muscle now, is weak. If only you give it time to recover, you'll be stronger and better for it.

I came across this great product for weight loss (all nautral) and it was excellent for me (it's a detox colon cleanse). Together with a good diet and exercise I am finally happy with my body and the way I look. You should check this product at
http://slim-get.info , they have a free trial and you only pay $4.95 shipping and handling. A must!
