How do you properly do squats?!


Question: I did my first squats yesterday and when I did them my neck felt painful and touching my trap it still hurts from yesterday. Can someone show me a picture where I should be putting the barbell?

Squat does not take long to get used to!! put the bar on your upper traps, tilt your head back a little bit to where you are kinda looking up and put your chest and butt out and flatten your back...go down til your in a sitting position....if you need to put a chair under your until you get comfortable that is fine.

squats take a long time to get use to and to do properly. Yes you neck will hurt because you back is not use to having so much weight placed on it, this will go away over time. Make sure you get a trainer to check that you are doing them right.

P.S. do a LIGHT weight to get ur technigue right FIRST!
