I lost 7 pounds, because of Lent?!

Question: Okay,so, I've lost 7 pounds since I last weighed myself (Feb. 5), but I've only been going to the gym for about a week now... I did, however give up all fried foods and sweets for Lent... could my weight loss be attributed more to the change of diet or to the excersize??? (I've been calorie counting for the past week only)

Well, While i'm not saying that the diet alone was the reason for your weight loss it certainly is a good idea. Considering that we don't know how many calories you burn at rest, I would be more willing to attribute this to the exercise.

For people who are not active, the first week or two in the gym will typically result in a weight fluctuation from 4 - 10 pounds which can also differ depending on what time you weigh yourself.

Lent ? No way. Try Morphyne.com

yes eating better has caused you to lose weight. i suggest you stick to this eating plan beyond lent.

It definetly is the change of diet, but if you excercise more then you will lose even more weight

keep doing what you do

Probably the food. You haven't been exercising long enough to lose 7 pounds unless you've been really killing yourself in the gym.

If just giving up sweets and fried food did the trick, good for you. I hope you are also eating a lot of greens and drinking water.

You've only been going to the gym for a week. If you find it gets harder to make it to the gym, there are some exercises which you can do at home. Look up "Lose 10 lbs-Diet and Exercise" on the link below.

Yep, probably that along with the fact that you have been working out and building muscle too! Good job :)
