How can i lose 50 pounds by september 2008?!


Question: i am supposed to weigh 132 pounds, but i weigh 180 and i am 5'5 i am 14 years old and i start high school next year i just dont want go through all that again. It seems like every middle school i've been to that kids just see my weight they dont really see me and that is not fair i am a great person! im nice, caring, and thoughtful and i recently made a 3,000 mile move about a year ago so all my friends are really far away. how am i supposed to make new friends if nobody gives me a chance?? I think maybe if i lose 50 pounds and get thinner i'll have a better chance of making new friends. from what i hear high school is hard enough, i dont want to be the fat girl anymore.

I recently lost 40 pounds. I drank 5 bottles of water a day (16.9 oz. each), walked 30-45 minutes, did 20 minutes of floor exercises (situps, leg lifts, etc.), did 15 minutes of hand weights (3-5 lbs.) and resistance bands. I ate 3 meals a day: breakfast was oatmeal (not instant), a few walnuts, blueberries, and soymilk; lunch was soup or salad or turkey sandwich (Subway is good); and dinner was a meat (mostly poultry or salmon), several roasted or steamed veggies, brown rice. I had 2 snacks per day which were olives or celery & natural peanut butter or a few Triscuits & grapes or 1 oz. cheese. I made sure to keep my blood sugar level normal all day. I avoided sugar, aspartame, Splenda, and saccharin, and only used Stevia as a sweetener (no diet sodas). I cooked only with olive oil or safflower oil. I used Benecol instead of margarine. And I took a multi-vitamin. I lost the weight in 4 months.

go to the gym and get a trainer. I did this. They will help u design a diet plan to watch calories and also and exercise routine.

oof.. your cutting it really close, it took me a year in order to lose fifty pounds. Simple, the same thing you always here watch what you eat and exercise. It is possible but dont expect results instantly, keep at it.

Have you ever taken a diet pill? Sometimes the only remedy to lose weight fast is a diet pill. Not all diet pills are unsafe. Some diet pills give you all the required daily nutrients and vitamins without the artificial stuff.

observe a high protein and low carbo diet, eat lots of fruits and veggies, drink plenty of water and fruit juices and exercise exercise exercise! losing weight doesn't mean you have to skip meals, try having 5 small low-calorie meals a day instead of 3 huge ones. eat breakfast, studies show that people who eat breakfast weigh less than those who don't eventhough they take more calories..

Check out the book Body for Life for Women by Pamela Peeke. I lost 30 pounds in three months on that plan and I didn't starve! The plan actually makes you eat every three to four hours, and it's not a deprivation diet where you cut out too much of anything. I'm sure a local library or an online bookstore would have it. A big part of what you want to do though is going to be determination. As you start losing weight that will be enough to motivate you, but in the beginning you're going to have to get tough on yourself...but NEVER starve yourself. Good luck and stay determined!

i get that this is a question answer site but you shouldnt go through all of that because ignorant people make fun of you if you want to loose 50 pounds do it for you.

ok great your motivated thats a great 1st step. now do 3 more things 1) get to a weight watchers meeting.
2)run for 20 to 30 min a day 4 to 5 times a week. running makes up for alot of mistakes we make. 3) if the 1st 2 are not working fast enough join nutra system its a very convient way to lose weight fast. work that in with weight watchers and you should be great. remember if your will to succeed is great enough you can not fail. hey!:) we have the same age and next year i will be going to high school too!:p I know how you feel...=/ I currently lost about 15 lbs just my eating in moderation, fruits instead of sweets, and walking for an hour a day! I read many things on how to lose weight the healthy way and i learned how many calories basic foods have so that i can control what i eat! Educate yourself so that you won't get sick and trust me you'll lose it!! If you need ANY specific advice that i may be able to help u because I've been through these please free to e-mail me! Diet pills are very unhealthy alternatives for losing weight. The best thing you could do, is eat more nutritious foods, and start walking laps. If you walk laps for about 30 minutes to an hour every day, it will increase metabolic rates. This means that fat will be burned much faster. Stay away from greasy and buttery foods.

First of all hold your head up high and look people straight in the eye. Don't let other intimidate you because you are now a + size.

How are you and sports...easy sports. Walking is easy and if you can find a new friend, that lives close to you you could walk together. Should a friend not live close, walk anyway. The START is the hard part, but keep going.

Another is to talker to your gym teacher and ask her (considering your weight) what sports would help you to drop weight at a rate that would be good for you. You will have to participate in school sports, but don't look down on that, just enjoy yourself as much as you can...it's your body, your life. Care what YOU think and feel, not others.

Most of all look for friends that care about YOU as a person, not your weight.
