OK, for one if you have a lot of muscle thats what's making you heavy. Muscle weighs three times as much fat tissue. Besides 170 isn't really overweight, especially when you hit that growth spurt and stretch out. The fat you do have, get rid of it by running. Take your music player and run outside through your neighborhood. If not, go to the YMCA or your local gym and run on a treadmill or cross-trainer. The thing with the kids teasing you, thats ok. One day you'll be laughing when your bigger and stronger than them. Then see what they'll say.

Running will be the fastest way to lose weight. If you have not ever been a runner, start out easy, and build up that endurance. If you can get up to about 3 miles a day at a good pace, the pounds will shed off, and you will gain nicely toned legs and a flatter stomach. GOOD LUCK!

To lose weight (fat), include more fiberous slow digesting carbs, as opp to the

fast ones, no white breads, fast foods, ketchups, sugar, only skim milk, not 2%,

skim and whole grain non sweet cerial, whole wheat bread, buy some protein,

include lean meats like ham, and other sources of protein, no red

meats,multivitamin, calcium and vitamin d every 2 days, v8. Don't starve, eat a

small healthy meal, a lot of small meals opposed to a few bigger ones-- make sure is has at least 8-10 or more g, not too much protein,

the body can only digest a certain amount at a time, avoid too many fruits, carbs

and sugars, fiberous veggies, greens (no starches or potatoes) and no bbq sauce

(unless used sparringly) and not too much salad dressing, before bed (2 hrs), eat something with protein, dont eat many carbs before bed. Eat some of that good cereal in the morning, you need carbs, just not too much, and the slow ones.

Do crunches until you can not do anymore, jog, warm up and sprint, short bursts

of intense activity is very effective compared to long weak activity, just don't

over do it, and do some lunges until it burns, do this every day or 2 days, keep

going and don't give up, same with eating, you need fat, so one fish oil daily,

eat fish (not fried, be careful, very careful for bones, peanut butter on whole

wheat (no jelly),which has protein, and dont worry about the fat in that,

avocodos, has fat, good fat, eat it when your hunger cravings get you. when you

do crunches, also twist on some to work your sides, keep tension on your abs.

running is the solution!
its the best cardio workout out there, and there is no replacement for it!
good luck!

well muscle does weigh more than fat, and if u are working out a lot, any fat u do have could just be turnung into muscle . worry about the assholes in school, bc you are only 14, and u might just have some baby fat left to get rid of.

Have you been to see a doctor? They can give you a thorough exam and make sure you don't have a thyroid condition, etc. You also want to be sure that you are physically fit enough to exercise. Then, you and your doctor can discuss the best plan of action. Your weight at your age can be very dangerous.

Good Luck!

Exercising and finding a diet that is right for you. Low calorie/low fat doesn't work for me.. Not because I 'can't do it' but because it actually makes me gain weight, even with the help of a nutritionist. I have to do a low carb diet due to other health issues. Don't let someone tell you that one diet is the only diet, you kind of have to play around with that and find what works for you because we are all different. Running does help, but also muscle training. Nothing too crazy, though. Sleep helps, too. Every aspect of your life really does effect your weight, so look at everything you're doing that you could be doing healthier. Eat a lot of veggies, some fruits, and drink a lot of water.

Jump rope an excellent way to burn calories. Bike, run, swim any physical activity you can do. Remember to eat right, fruits veggies and try to keep your confidence level up. Good Luck!!
